I have always had the utmost admiration and respect of artists that can render photo realism, Rick. The time, patience, technique and talent it takes to do something like we see here are often WAY under appreciated in today's art world.... Fav / like

Thanks Jerry!

About Rick McKinney

Rick McKinney

At a very young age Rick McKinney became interested in wildlife art and photography. He began sketching from life, observing and drawing from magazine illustrations. Rick produced many wildlife drawings and paintings from watercolor, acrylic and pencil but became discouraged with the degree of difficulty to obtain good reference material to produce lifelike animal drawings. Rick worked as a pictorial billboard and sign artist at an Outdoor Advertising company for several years. Other hobbies occupied Rick's artistic side through the years such as building beautiful rustic twig furniture and fine hardwood furniture. More recently Rick has returned to painting and works primarily in oils.
